Virginia, We are home!
We put a pad down showed her where it was- she played around awhile went back to the pad and did her business. She is playful and having fun. Will keep in touch with you. I enjoyed our visit and was very impressed with your instructions and advice on caring for this puppy. I am so glad we found you. Thank-you very much. Brenda Allen ( Kentucky )
Hi Virginia and Moon Pie:
Our new baby, Mylo, is a beautiful boy maltese born to Moon Pie and Casper. We are so delighted to have him in our home. Mylo is short for My Love and has been living with us for 2 weeks. It is very obvious to even my husband who is not a huge animal fan that Virginia had went the extra 10 miles to provide a puppy that is well loved, piddle pad trained, and exceedingly well balanced. This is our families 5th puppy during our marriage and all the others were well-behaved, easily trained Shetland Sheepdogs. We were a little hesitant when our 13 year old daughter desired a Maltese which from research was going to be a little more difficult to train and potty train. After much research and prayer, we decided to bring an adorable Maltese into our family. We talked to breeders for two months before deciding to purchase a puppy in West Virginia from Virginia Young. My daughter and I headed on a six hour road trip and brought home an adorable, perfect puppy.
Socially all of Virginia's Maltese were a delight to be around while we visited and checked out the puppies living conditions. As she told us over the phone, all of her Maltese were a part of her family and loved dearly. This was evidenced by the cleanliness, doggy clothing, and extra measures went to for the dog's comfort. Her two sons arrived home from school while we were there and greeted the dogs as naturally as if they were their siblings. It was a delight visiting with Virginia and gathering the information that she provided while absorbing her wisdom obtained from years of Maltese experience. The information packet provided with the puppy was helpful and full of useful, cost saving tips. Yes, they were AKC registrable just as promised.
Mylo is much easier to deal with than our last Shetland Sheepdog purchase! As I sit here writing this, I am still having to tell Mylo "no" for chewing on the furniture beside me. The huge difference is a "no" gets his attention and 50% of the time he stops and the other, he simply has to be redirected with a toy to capture his attention. Potty training has been a snap and that is unbelievable for any dog. We have had less than 5 accidents since bringing him home and truly those were our fault because we neglected to take him out. Mylo used a piddle pad in the car on the way home. The next day he went out in the yard like a pro and we are having a great time enjoying him instead of cleaning up doggie messes. We have never had this much success with any of our other dogs so it has all to do with Virginia's immediate piddle pad training with her puppies. Thank you, Virginia!
The bodies and coats of Virginia's dogs were beautiful and healthy. Her females did not look nor act like they had been bred to death but were loved continuously and bred occasionally. They did not have tear stain and their coats were thick and pretty. To look at Moon Pie, we would have never known that she had had puppies 14 weeks before if we had not been there to purchase her puppy. The boys were handsome and looked exceedingly healthy as well. They were clean and well groomed but did not look like Virginia had rushed them to a groomers for our arrival to impress. They were simply clean, healthy, happy house pets.
The other bit of information is the love that this puppy exhibits to our family. Within minutes of being at Virginia's home, my daughter had decided that this was the puppy because he was happy, bouncy, kissy, and just a true little imp with a curious, mischievous demeanor. During the car ride home, Mylo loved on us and licked us to death for the entire six hours. He rode on our laps and was just a joy to travel with. If we are going somewhere like dance today that he can go, he hops in the car with us and we head out for a ride. He loves it and has never barked at people but is thrilled when they pet and talk with him. We could go on and on but just simply said "Virginia truly loves her dogs and because of that the dogs are truly able to quickly and easily love you!"
We just want to let people know that if you are looking for a breeder and want a family pet that is going to adapt well and love you quickly then purchase one of Virginia's puppies. She did not exaggerate or mislead us. She does not have a kennel and her Maltese are a part of her family. This is the best puppy buying experience that we have ever had and if I talk my husband into another adorable Maltese then I'll wait until Virginia has a litter before I purchase one. Feel free to call myself or my daughter, Sarah, for an update on Mylo or just to check that an unrelated party wrote this recommendation. Good luck in your search for a lifelong friend!
Thank you so much Virginia for your honesty and love for your dogs! Just pick the pictures you like best and add to this for us. We will be in touch and thank you, thank you, thank you. May God Bless!

Hi Virginia!
I just wanted to send you an update on Emmy. She has her last puppy vet appointment on Monday where she will get her last shot! She weighs 3 lbs now and is eating well! This little dog loves to play with Kya but she is so little most of the time she just nips at Kya's back legs! The two dogs are very attached and look for each other when they get up every morning. Emmy loooooves to take little naps on Kya's dog bed and just play all the time. She really likes chasing her tail, its so funny! I hope everyone there is doing well.

Beth Knotts and Family,
I am so impressed with the way Virginia cares about these pups AND her own dogs. Her maltese are not there just for breeding. She gives so much time and energy to each and every puppy AND each and every potential "parent". You can tell it is not about the money with her. I was so impressed with the conditions for the puppies at her home and how knowledgeable she is about every single aspect of this breed. When you leave you are no longer nervous about taking this little life home because she sits with you and goes over everything and if you should have any questions left that she hasn't already answered on her own....then she is more than happy to answer them right then OR anytime. She lets you know you may call or email her anytime with any questions or concerns you may have. I know she is true to her word about that because as a "first-timer", I have had to send a few of those emails!!! She responds immediately. She worries so much about these puppies the first night they are gone that you will get an email checking on them the very next morning. What other breeder does that?! She just cares so much. I get so, so many compliments on Bentley. Everyone has to ask about him and/or touch him everywhere we go! There have been too many people to count who now want a maltese after seeing Bentley...even the groomer's assistant!!! They ask me if she has any puppies left!!! I don't know that much about "show quality" dogs...I just know that my boy is gorgeous! People that do know about it tell me he is beyond show quality and that Virginia really knows what she is doing. His coat is beautiful, skin is perfect, teeth are perfect (but SHARP!), his stance and the little prance that he does just has to be seen. When we brought him home at about 10 weeks (she made us wait 3 weeks until she believed he was old enough and ready!), he was basically pee pad trained. She puts the pee pads in with them from the time they start walking...I saw it myself when I went to see my baby! This obviously works...we only had MAYBE 3-4 accidents since bringing him home on April 2nd (actually, my husband called them "on-purposes" because it was when I first had to start leaving him alone while I went to work). He is the best of both worlds...so playful and soooo loving. He just kisses and kisses you. We have never had one problem out of him! He hasn't ever chewed on our furniture, but our hands and feet seem to be tempting to him! This is a dog that melted the heart of my husband and 16 year old son...both of whom wanted a "more macho dog". Now, my son will embarrass himself loving on Bentley, my husband is wrapped around his little paw, and I can't even begin to describe how I feel about him....I just never expected to love him so much!!!! So, the end result is that Bentley is rotten! I feel so lucky to have found Virginia's website..purely by accident. God has his ways of making things happen.........Virginia thank you so much for taking such good care of my sweet little Bentley until he was ready to come home to us...he is lucky to have been cared for by you!!!!

Hi Virginia,
I wanted to give you a update on Cami. I cannot get over how well she has adjusted since the very beginning. She came into our home like she has always been here. I believe she had been brought up on kisses. She is everything and more of what you said she would be. I have bought several dogs in my life, and this without a doubt has been the best experience I have ever had purchasing a puppy .
The coats of your dogs, and your home told a lot about how you care for your adult dogs, and puppies. I have had two Maltese before , and I walked away from you with more information on the Maltese breed than I had ever known before.
Miss Cami, has changed my life in so many ways .I can never thank you enough for this beautiful , healthy and happy puppy . I wish there were more breeders like you that are honest and truly care about the breed that they are selling. It could save so many people a lot of heart ache and money.
Once again I want to thank you so much for this beautiful puppy and for a new friend ship that I will always be grateful for . Thank you!!!

Hi Virginia, Just wanted to thank-you so much for our newewst family member jasper, he is doing very well adjusting to his new home and to all of us. Hannah is so good with him, especially with the feeding and taking him outside, with all of his needs. Hes such a content little fellow. We followed all of your advice after we brought him home and I think that made all the difference especially your sharing of information about this breed, your knowledge has helped us out greatly. Just wanted to say thank you.

Hello Virginia and Family,
I have attached some pictures of Emmy, since she will be 1 year old this Saturday the 22nd. She is a crazy little puppy and has a bunch of quirks. She absolutely loves everyone and I get so many compliments on how she is just a very good little dog :-) She is my baby lol and people always tell me I treat her like a little person, not a dog. In fact, I recently got married and my husband always jokes that he has adopted her, she is one lucky little girl!!!!
I Hope everyone there is doing well. I saw that you just had another litter, congrats!
Sincerely,
Shannon Adair
Hello Virginia,

Virginia,
I want to thank you so much for our beautiful Noel, She is so amazing. We had a German shepard that passed away and I never thought I could love another dog.that was until I met Noel. She is so much fun. She is in my car with me several times a day, not to mention she loves to be cuddled and loves to play with my daughters. I have to admit I was nervous when I first got her but now I can't imagine my life with out her. Again thank you for your love for puppies and the great start you give them when when they are born. Thank you for Noel. Buffy

Hi Virginia,
We just got back from the vet with the boys for their vaccines. I told Jeff that I needed to sit down and send you an update. We were bragging about you to our vet and how wonderful you are. The boys are growing and doing great. I finally landed on names after watching them for almost a week. I changed Rowdy to Jake because to tell you the truth, the smaller one was actually rowdier. Scout was changed to Willy. We have a friend with a dog named Scout that I had forgotten about. I thought the name ordeal was going to be the end of me. Every name I liked, one of my guys didn’t. My first visit to the vet they were called 1 & 2. The staff was so happy that I had names for them today! They are learning their names, but they answer to “boys” better than their names right now.
Their weights are flip flopping. Our first visit to see them, Jake was smaller than Willy but when we picked them up, Willy was smaller and Jake was bigger. Their first visit at the vet, Willy weighed 2.88 and Jake was 3.09. Today, Jake is 3.44 and Willy is 3.69!
I hated to leave them and go back to work. I have a large exercise pen with their crate, pee pad, food/water, and toys that they stay in while we’re at work. I’ve been coming home at lunch to check on them. They are doing really well with the pee pad still. It has rained every day here since we brought them home and I’m thankful for not having to go out in the rain for potty time. Their little bladders are still a bit unpredictable so I have to stay behind them, but they like getting treats for “going potty” on demand.
I took them to work one afternoon when we got back and everyone fell in love with them. My new female docs came and sat in my office just holding them. They said the puppies brought their stress levels down. I didn’t think they were going to give them back to me.
They sleep through the night but Jeff’s alarm clock wakes them up too early for me. I make sure they potty and put them in the bed with me when he goes to work until I have to get up. They still stay pretty close to each other. If I am holding one, the other usually wants me to hold him too. I’ve bathed and groomed them a couple of times. They are getting better but Jake can be a bit of a wiggle tail. I don’t want to take them to the groomer just yet because I’m afraid they may be a little impatient with them since they are so young and don’t sit still for very long.
We’ve had to get used to their rough-housing with each other. Sometimes, it’s like watching cage fighting they get so rough. Just when I start to feel sorry for Willy because Jake was bigger, Willy picks on Jake and has him squealing like a girl. They are hilarious to watch, and they run around like their hair is on fire. I don’t think one is more alpha than the other. They flip back and forth. I’ve taught them how to fetch the rope. Jake caught on really quick, but Willy has got the hang of it now. I’ll probably start them with simple commands next week. Jake did pretty well walking on a lead but Willy wasn’t too thrilled with it. The funny thing is next time, they will be reverse. Jake won’t walk on the lead and Willy will.
I plan to take some pictures this weekend after they get a bath and I’ll send you some. I’m sure you’ll be surprised at how much they’ve grown. They really are sweet puppies and we are enjoying them so much. I was really worried about having two at one time, but it hasn’t been too bad. It is nice that they have each other but they’ve really bonded to us as well. They get so excited when you talk to them and play with them.
Hope you are doing well and I am sure the little yorkie babies are adorable. Take care and email me any time you like. I don’t mind at all and will send you pictures soon. I doubt that my photography will measure up to yours but I’ll give it a try.
Talk with you soon,
Lorrie
Hi Virginia,
Jaxx is getting so big, he is so funny when Ron comes home at night he gets so excited and runs full speed around our bar about 5 times,he makes us laugh so hard!!! I feel bad for him because he goes and gets his shots tomorrow . He is the cutest little thing...little features I love....tiny nose..); Alle
Little Jaxx had to go to the vet yesturday for his last set of shots....little porker is 4.9 pounds, he was such a good little boy,he always gets all the vet workers to laugh, they just love him.
Well, keep in touch with me,we really want to go to the maze before they close it,so keep that in mind, maybe we can get together soon.. Talk at ya later, Alle
Jaxx having a bad hair day.LOL
Hi Virginia,
Just wanted to touch base with you.Charlie is doing fine. He is doing okay with his potty training but still needs work. He is scheduled to start puppy school on Wednesday. I have a vet appt. tomorrow to get his 12 week shots (bordella as well). He is also scheduled to get his first hair cut tomorrow,.
He did well with his pictures with Santa on Saturday. Everyone loved him! I will send pictures of him as soon as I get a copy.
He doesn't eat much. I give him a 1/4 cup in the morning, noon and at dinner time but he doesnt seem to finish it all. He also does not like any treats I bought for him..He loves his toys.He now can fetch a toy and bring it back to me.He LOVES the grass.I am going to ask the doctor what type of flea medicine I should use for him.
He has adjusted well to me and my husband.
My husband spoils him to death. I think that is why the potty training is going a little slowly. He is forever holding him and playing with him.
Best Wishes, Barbara
Jaxx a prince so much like his daddy.
Hi Virginia,

When I come back from the store she always gets super excited because I bring her a toy. She is Soooo spoilt. Hope all is well.
Jennifer
Hi Virginia,
It was so nice to finally meet you, and thanks so much for showing us around. Your nursery is very nice and looks like it is going to work out great! We named our baby Dakoda. Cadien is thrilled with him, she tries to comfort him and play with him. We made pretty good time and we were home by 8pm. He did very well last night. I put him in the dog area and divided it off. So he was with Cadien and Cody but had his own space. He whimmperd for about 5 min. and was asleep. Thanks so much and I will keep you updated, he is a sweet heart!
Sue
Update..Dakoda is doing great. He ajusted well to his new home. Vet check was great. He is just a great puppy and we are very pleased. I am seeing some great things from him already. I am hopeful that he will make a great stud. I can't say enough about how great he is. Very loving little boy. Thank you sooooo much. Have a safe trip and a great Thanksgiving!
Sue
